Nerve Impulsion from Bio-Energy released by ATP molecules

Scientific Federation took initiative in the field of Neuroscience by introducing journal in the year of 2015. Our main intention is to support and promote a high quality comprehensive evidence-based on the recent research from the highly qualified authors. We received an article from Prof. Pang Xiao feng  based on his recent research on the generation of nerve impulse in nerve fiber systems and its transport arising from the bio-energy released by the hydrolyses reaction of ATP molecules in living systems.

Nerve impulses are the action potentials that move along with the length of an axon as a wave of depolarization, an axon is a long, slender projection of a nerve cell or neuron, that typically conducts  electrical impulses away from the neuron's cell body. Axons are also known as nerve fibers. The function of the nerve fiber is to transmit information to different neurons, muscles, and glands. In certain sensory neurons, such as those for touch and warmth, the electrical impulse travels along an nerve fiber from the periphery to the cell body, and from the cell body to the spinal cord along another branch of the same nerve fiber.

The unit of the nervous system in animals is the nerve cell or the neuron, its main function is to accept, process and transfer the nerve information, to complete the functions of the nervous system.  It consists of nerve cells having different sizes and forms, The form of  action electric-potential in the nerve membranes in the nerve cell-membranes are first described as it is in essence,. When a stimulus is strong enough, a nerve impulse is generated. The stimulus triggers chemical and electrical changes in the neuron. Before an impulse is received, a resting neuron is polarized with different charges on either side of the cell membrane and the exterior of the cell is positively charged with a larger number of sodium ions present compared to the interior of the cell as the interior of the cell is negatively charged it contains more potassium ions than the exterior of the cell, The nerve impulse can be also transported along the nerve fiber membranes under action of periodic works of sodium pump and potassium pump arising from the bio-energy released from the hydrolyses reaction of ATP molecules.
